Investigation Into Relationships With Young Girls Continues as Bail Is Set at $150,000

Tyler T. Voie was charged Tuesday in Lewis County Superior Court
with six counts of child rape. |
The
teen, a Winlock high school student, was arrested by Toledo police and
booked into the Lewis County Jail on suspicion of the six counts of
rape. His bail is currently listed at $150,000.
Lewis
County Prosecuting Attorney Jonathan Meyer said there were two victims,
an 11-year-old girl allegedly raped in late November, and a 12-year-old
girl who had sexual contact with the older teen five times between
February and April 2016.
The suspect was 17 at the time of the second through sixth charges, but Meyer said he will be tried as an adult.
According to Meyer, Winlock Middle
School contacted Toledo officers after they received reports the suspect
sent a sexually explicit Snapchat message to the then-11-year-old girl
and a third student, who was 13. (The third student is not a victim in
the case yet, Meyer said). After further investigation, police
discovered the suspect reportedly had sexual relations with the then
12-year-old victim as well.
Meyer
said the suspect admitted to having sex with the 12-year-old once, but
felt the situation wasn’t a problem. According to Meyer, prosecutors
believe there is enough evidence to move forward with the case.
The Winlock teen will next appear in court on Jan. 11 for arraignment and setting of a trial date.
