GRIEVING mum Jean Wardle branded an NHS probe into care for her daughter hours before she took her life a “whitewash”.

Her girl Elaine Brown, 34, was taken to hospital in “distress” after being raped by evil ex Ryan Graham.

Elaine was sent home 25 minutes later despite being assessed as “suicidal”. She was found dead two days after cops broke down her door in Irvine, Ayrshire.
Last night Jean blasted a case review’s conclusion that Elaine was mentally fit to discharge herself from Kilmarnock’s Crosshouse Hospital.
She said: “It’s a whitewash and is contradictory. It says no one is to blame but that Elaine should have been treated as an ‘at risk’ adult.
“She should have been compelled to stay in hospital.”

The health board report details how Elaine’s vulnerability rating was upgraded after two attacks by Graham.
Jean, who plans to sue for neglect added: “Elaine wanted help and they turned her away.”
